I am ever aware of the fact that Samantha tends to be compared to Marlie, and probably will be for a few years, by everyone including her parents. For me, it's just hard not to look at Sam and see so much of Marlie. I think it's actually a positive. Since she does look so much like her older sister, every time I am holding her and see Marlie doing one of the many amazing big girl things she does now, it reminds me to keep on holding and enjoy it . . . because we have a daily reminder of how fast time really does fly.
So I couldn't help but look at 2 similar pics of the girls . . . there are definitely similarities, but a few differences - Sam doesn't have the widow's peak that was so noticeable on Marlie for many months, but she makes up for it by having way more hair. And they both have Daddy's mouth and eyes (see the pic of Jay and Sam, could they look any more alike?!?!?).
Anyway, the top and bottom pics are Samantha, and that's Marlie @ 7 weeks in the middle.
