It makes me a little nervous that Sam is eating so much food on her own - I am glad, don't get me wrong . . .I would just feel a little better if she had some teeth!! But alas, she does not enjoy the puree food as much, and will go a whole day only eating foods she can feed herself . . . so as sad as it is, I think we are about done with baby food! I don't even get how that can be, but I'll go with it. Perhaps this is just an insight as to how quickly she will take to the cup and we can ditch the bottle and the pacifier . . .
And not to be outdone, we are phasing the sippy cups out of Marlie's world. She is on to cups with straws - of course, she's been drinking out of a regular cup forever - they eliminated the sippy cup in day care back in May. It's just so nice to have a spill proof cup sometimes! And in another milestone (they seem to happen a lot now in our home), Marlie walked into her room a few weeks ago, took a look at the bed rail on her twin bed and simply said "I don't need this anymore" - and that was that!
