Marlie's 1st Business

Last night after dinner we went out front because the girls in the culdesac were having a lemonade stand. They were charging $0.05 a cup - so I bought one for each of the girls and gave them 4 quarters (since there were 4 girls). They told me they only had 1 more cup - so I went in and got a stack of cups for Marlie to give them, and they gladly welcomed her over as a helper. Of course, she couldn't sit on the curb, she had to go to the garage to get her own chair . . . so I joked with a neighbor that she was the backer with the cups . . . and clearly the non-working partner of the business :) If you look closely in the background right behind Marlie's head you can see a little portion of Sam's head as she was trying to walk over and be a customer!

As Sam and I were sitting watching Marlie I started thinking about when they will be old enough to have their own lemonade stand and ways I could help them with theirs . . .and I wondered if it would up their sales if I wheeled out the kegerator and sold beverages for the parents as well?? It probably would . . . if we didn't live on a culdesac with a preacher, a chaplain, and a drug and alcohol rehab counselor!!!!! Maybe if we move . . . . .it's a thought . . . .

And on a completely random side note - as I was working out this morning, I noticed my music list is a little telling to my moods right now. Now mind you, I do not own an I-Pod - to be quite honest, I don't get it. I would use it for 30 min a day during my workout, but that's it - I have no other moments in my day where it's appropriate to block all of the noise around me out with earbuds, or where I feel the need to add noise straight into my ear . . . nonetheless, my top 5 songs on my workout list right now . . . .
  1. Beyonce - "If I were a Boy"
  2. Kings of Leon - "Use Somebody"
  3. Meredith Brooks - "Bitch"
  4. Bethany Joy Galleoti - "Halo"
  5. Beyonce - "Halo"
Weird that I have 2 songs with the same title, and 2 Beyonce songs . . . but a raging song list that displays my emotion and solicits a good angry workout :)
