Ahhhh the Weather

Once we had moved to MN, I understood that people in the South didn't know what COLD was - conversely, people in MN have no idea what HOT is!!!! But you have 2 choices - sit inside or adapt and enjoy the outdoors . . . with 2 toddlers that define hyper, I choose the latter.

So forget the 90+ degree with 95% humidity weather we were having this weekend, we had a great time outside. We started Saturday with a neighborhood garage sale (we walked around and visited, we have nothing to sell at this point) - and then finished out the day with a backyard BBQ and Dora adventure party to celebrate Lena's #2! It was awesome - they actually did a little adventure with the Map, Swiper, and the Grumpy Old Troll - Marlie had a blast!!

Sunday morning we hung out at the zoo (Sundays are the greatest because there is no one there!!) and then after naptime headed over to swim with friends and celebrate Jack's #4!!

On a note - did you know that August is the most popular birth month (with November being second) in the US . . . seeing that we've been to 3 parties (and declined 4 other invites) and we're only halfway through the month, I think I would agree!!!!

Anyway - it was a warm weekend - but we made the most of it . . . and the best part of all, we actually had Daddy around for almost 1 whole day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looking at the pic of Jayson with Marlie driving the Jeep I wonder if he'll be that calm when it's the real thing, since he insists that he will be the one to teach our kids to drive . . .
