And We're Home

So there will be a few posts about our fabulous fall break vacation . . . but for now, I am exhausted. We are home and ready to jump right back into our school routine - which included me getting Marlie's backpack together tonight and realizing that we totally forgot to do the family project of constructing a fire truck over the break for fire safety week . . . luckily we are big into crafts and had all the supplies we needed on hand.

Marlie, Sam, and Daddy headed out back and constructed this beautiful gem to take to school tomorrow. She is very proud of the ladder, hose, and the blue siren that she painted to look like a smiley face :) There are brown wheels on the side that you can't see. How lucky was it that the 1 item left in the recycling container before vacation was a 1/2 gallon milk jug?!?!?
