I had the pleasure of chaperoning Marlie's first field trip of the year today! We headed down to The Nashville Children's Theater to see Schoolhouse Rock.
We had a great time and it was a pretty fun show . . . And it's always cool to see Marlie interact with her friends . . . Even if she did say to me "I want you to be the chaperone, but can you not ride the bus because I want to sit with my friends?!" Alas, the answer is 7 . . . The question? At what age do you begin to be uncool to your kids? No big deal, just a small piece of my heart that died a little - and at least she wanted me on the trip and sat next to me in the theater . . . :)
