Holiday Weekend

We had a pretty laid back 4th of July weekend with a couple of cookouts and lots of family. We didn't need to do any fireworks - our neighbors took care of that for us on Friday and Saturday . . . until 11pm each night!!! Yea, we're getting old . . . 11pm seems late . . . especially with a 2 year old and 2 week old.

Today is Samantha's 2 week birthday!! It has been a whirlwind 2 weeks . . . but a fabulous 2 weeks. To say that Samantha is spoiled by people holding her would be an understatement, and it's not just grandparents. Jay and I realize how quickly the time passes every time we look at Marlie's beautiful face, and we're smart enough this time around to treasure the time just holding our beautiful daughter. This has made it a little harder to get her used to sleeping in her crib, but we're getting there . . . and we are working on a schedule - another week and we should be in our routine.

Samantha is becoming a big eater too. Today we said good-bye to the 4oz bottles and graduated to the 9oz size, since she's up to eating 4 1/2 oz at every feeding . . . glad we didn't spend the money on new 4oz bottles!!!

Just a few pics from the weekend . . . .Marlie went to Home Depot with Grandpa on Saturday and built a bird house!! She got a super cute apron and a pin. She will get a new pin every month when we go and do the project for the month! She had a blast and wore the apron ALL day!!
