Well, this could be an EXTREMELY long post . . . but I think I will keep it sweet and simple.
We've been in VA for the past 5 days for Uncle Ryan's wedding - he came down for a few days before hand to hang out and be adored by his nieces. So we hung out, did the wedding thing, and tooled around town for a bit and got back home last night. Since we were gone for 5 days - I will do a Top 5 highlight list:
- Marlie was the flower girl (Sam wore a matching dress) - they were both beautiful in dresses by Grandma . . . but flower petals were only thrown during the practice round - she's only 3, we'll let it slide . . . and the photog got pics of her tossing them in practice, so you'd know the difference :)
- Stopping through Emory to show Marlie my old school - and having her ask "Where are your friends??"
- Spending 5 days with Jayson - what else needs to be said - haven't seen him that much in 4 months!! AWESOME!!!!
- A night out for Mom and Dad - you know we actually had someone in a bar that we were chatting with for the night turn around and look at us and say "I truly envy what you guys have. It's nice to see it when people get it right" Sweet thing to say . . .
- Being home - that is always the highlight of a trip. I love my girls, and they are actually fairly easy to travel with - but really - road trips are not something you do with a 3 and 1 year old . . . it is never a vacation for the parents (minus our 1 night out because we are lucky enough to have grandparents!!).

I'm glad you had a good time and got a night out with Jay. I still remember the first time I met him with you (I think at Corky's in Bearden/Sequoyia Hills?) and singing his praises drunkenly to you afterwards in the car. Yes, you guys definitely got it right. =)
I love the carseat pic, so cute! The dresses look awesome too--Grandma made those??
