That Week Flew By

I feel like the last thing that wasn't a blur was sitting in the doc's office getting a shot on Sunday! Then there was kinda dying and taking care of the kids . . . followed by feeling half alive and watching Jayson get strep . . . then there was some going out when I knew I wasn't contagious . . . and then it was Thursday morning and I was baking cinnamon rolls, turning on the Macy's parade, and realizing it was Thanksgiving! ha! The sickness and drugs had me in quite the haze! But I wasn't hazy enough that I forgot anything to cook dinner ;)

I dressed the kids up and grabbed the best pic I could (no family pic since Jayson spent the day throwing up thanks to his antibiotic!)

And of course, we ate! It was nice and casual . . . and the food was fantastic! Marlie made a green bean casserole all on her own! And Evan enjoyed rolls, mashed potatoes, and cranberry relish!

Friday morning my MIL and I were up to shop . . . we refuse to go out and be a part of the stupidity that starts on the actual holiday! We will continue with our tradition and be out by 5am . . . Toys R Us was my major stop, and though it took time waiting on associates to grab items I needed from the back, they had everything on my list in stock, and I was very lucky to score 2 helpful boys in each department :) Then it was time to pull out the Christmas decor and head down to the riverfront to see the Lights on the Cumberland and kick off the season!

Also . . . because this is the cutest picture ever of my girls being little girls . . . beauty shop is a new game in the house right now . . . they like to do everyone's hair . . . but when all the grown ups were otherwise occupied, they decided that each other were good enough . . .

I really don't know where the time went . . . but I know we had fun . . .and aside from the tree, our house is ready for Christmas!! Oh yea!!!
