A Few Randoms From the Week

• Conversation with Marlie as we are riding home from Target, just the 2 of us, after picking out Samantha's Christmas present:

MK: Look at moon - it's a crescent . . .maybe with a little extra white

Me: Yep - it sure is

MK: There was a book in the library today about planets and moons.

Me: Did you learn anything about planets?

MK: Saturn has 7 rings

Me: That's awesome (thinking to myself that I will have to google that when I get home since I have no idea!!)

• Mr. Crandall is, as of today, a Kitchen Manager again! He has been in the bar since Evan was born, and this is his 3rd time back in the kitchen . . . but I do so love him going to work at 5am rather than getting home at 4am - it puts us on more of the same wavelength :)
• When I went to drop the rent check off yesterday, I found out that the plumber who fixed a leak on our toilet had told the whole rental office that we had installed a bidet (and yes I had to google the spelling of that word!). Um no - sorry maintenance dude - I did not install a jet powered sprayer on the side of my toilet to act as a bidet . . . it's called a diaper sprayer because we cloth diaper! I burst out laughing when the lady at the desk said it!! ha!
• Oh Samantha . . . yesterday alone she managed to think that some new nail polishes looked more like lip gloss and put them on her lips, try to spray Sota with detangler because he needed to play beauty parlor with her, soak Jayson's and my hair with said detangler while playing beauty parlor, and then finish up the night by somehow coming crashing out of her bed, hitting her stepstool, and waking up with a little of a black eye today . . . life is never dull with Sammie around!!
• We made Christmas presents yesterday for all of the grandparents . . . let's just say, we had to improvise . . . we've always done their handprints on a pot holder . . . 3 handprints fit on pretty much nothing except a platter . . . so we came up with what I think is a pretty awesome idea - but we'll have to wait until after Christmas to put a pic on here!
• Super excited for a busy Saturday . . . breakfast with Santa, Home Depot, getting a Christmas tree, Ladybug Girl will be at the mall, and the Christmas parade downtown!!! YAY!!!
