The pic of Marlie and the Polar Bear was from my phone - and I'm not cool enough to have a nice pic taking phone yet! It was interesting to be at the story hour with only Marlie. There were a lot of moms there showing up in work clothes after working who knows how long of a day - I tell you what, have a bad day as a SAHM and when you're ready to complain, go out at 6pm to an event with your school aged child and see the Mom that still hasn't been home to cook dinner and has a good 3 hours of work still ahead of her when she gets home! You will hug your child and shut up! I feel qualified to say that since I've lived on both sides of that fence!I was also doing some thinking on the way there as we were listening to the kids Christmas CD about music I listened to at her age. I remember being almost 6 and rocking out to Madonna, Whitesnake, and Bon Jovi! Of course, I had a very influential older brother . . . but still, I couldn't imagine letting Marlie listen to any of that, much less their current counterparts! And seriously, don't even get me started on the fact that I had the entire movie of Dirty Dancing memorized!ha! There is something to be said for being mature . . . but there is also something to be said for being a kid while you have the opportunity . . . .and I prefer the latter for my kids . . .
And then there was this handsome guy who had to have his flu shot booster today.

Evan is SO precious! I love that little curl.
And I dont know....I think I would sort of admire the working mom. I loved working all day and didnt mind one bit then going to a preschool event. My job wasnt stressful though. I am torn at which job is "harder." I guess it just depends on your personality. Dont get me wrong, I am loving staying at home, but there are days that I miss working too :)
