For the last several weeks we have been watching the Decorah eagles on ustream - we've been keeping an eye on the eggs, seeing the babies hatch, and now watching them in their infancy. It has been great for the girls, and they have really enjoyed seeing these 3 little baby eagles being their life.
So over the last week we have been working birds into our preschool work for Samantha - I have an awesome preschool pack on birds and it has just worked out that we have been incorporating a lot of bird-stuff in with everyday life. Talking about "w"orms has helped her get over that hump of distinguishing M and W :) She's totally ready for kindergarten . . . oh wait, we have another year . . . hmm . . .
The girls made bird feeders at Home Depot this month
We made little bird nests with baby birds and worms sticking out
The girls did a little bird watching at the park (and butterflies!).
After some time at the park we decided we were done
And we took a little trip down to Nashville to go to Opry Mills - the girls love the caurosel!
It was a normal trip . . .ha! Marlie got car sick on the way down and puked everywhere, Evan had to go through 3 outfit changes for dumping juice and peeing . . . and Sam wanted to round it out, so on the way home she got a bloody nose! Bodily fluids don't even phase me anymore!
