I totally have a brand loyalty when it comes to cameras. My parents always bought Canons, our first digital camera was a Canon - and alas, we have another Canon. I seriously considered the Nikon, until I found out that the model we were looking at wasn't compatible with rechargeable batteries.
Anyway - when I balked at the price, Jayson reminded me that it was how much our crummy 4MP Canon cost when we bought it when I was 6 months pregnant with Marlie . . . so alright, it was truly time for an upgrade!
So in honor of the new camera, the first pic posted will be of the "not so highly photographed since kids came along" SOTA :)

yay for Canon!!!!! I'm very glad you stuck with it:) so, what did you get?! Our point and shoot is canon too and we love it!
