It Doesn't Happen Often

. . . but every once in a while, with 3 little ones, you grab a glimpse of a photo and have to stop yourself for a second to remember which baby it is! Marlie and Samantha were very different looking babies . . . and naturally, even though Evan may have shimmers of both babies in him, all the pink from the girls' baby pictures would take away all doubt as to who it was . . . but as I was doing some updating of baby books tonight and filing of pictures, my eye caught a photo and I had to stop for a second . . . because this picture looks a lot like 2 of my kiddos at 8 months old . . . Alas, it is Samantha at 8 months old! But oooh, could've been Evan!! However, this next one - no mistaking . . . that widow's peak of Marlie's didn't fade into her hair until she was 1!! And this guy is to busy pulling up on things for me to even get him with the real camera these days! Something tells me he isn't going to wait until 13 months to walk like his sisters . . . at 13 months Mickey Mouse better watch his back, because Evan is going to be running at him full force!!!! :) The thing isn't so much that he pulls up (he has the upper body strength of a 2 yr old), it's that once he is there, he lets go without fear and manages that few crucial seconds of balance . . . I would say it will be odd to see a 9 month old baby walk . . . but he will be the size of a 15 month old by that point (at least in his sisters' measurements) so I guess it won't be that odd . . . and now I will return to my research of how to apply a pause button to life . . .
