Friends and Family and Fun

It was a busy weekend - but lots of fun was had!!!  We started out Friday night with pizza with Uncle Scott and Aunt Mary - they stopped in on their way to Nashville.

Saturday morning started with some pool time while we waited for our friends Kerri and Brian to arrive!  After the pool we took Sota, and their new puppy (he's only 7 months old) to the dog park.

The dogs and the kids had a blast just running!  Evan enjoyed playing the water with the dogs as well!
Sota was one tired little pup after that - but he definitely held his own as a "senior" dog!
Saturday night Grandma came over to watch the kiddos as us grown ups went to see Jazz on the Lawn at the local winery.  It was a lot of fun to be able to hang out and just chat . . . and somehow forget that we are all in our 30's, not our 20's, and maybe at some point we should consider drinking wine a little more conservatively . . . but that probably won't happen . . .

Sunday we headed down to the Discovery Center in Murfreesboro for some play time.  It's a great place, but not somewhere I would feel the need to go a lot due to the 70 mile drive!  But since we were meeting up for dinner in Nashville, we thought we would make a day of it.

Evan enjoyed everything!!!  This was his first time going - and he was in love with exploring!

Then it was down to Nashville for dinner with Aunt Mary and Uncle Scott . . . we went for an early dinner but Evan was still fussy . . . (and I can't get this damn picture turned, but I wanted it on here, so there you go!)
Unfortunately I found out around midnight why he was fussy - Evan woke up a few times in the night with diarrehea and then again this morning . . . and he also woke up sporting a 101 fever.  So right now he is resting a bit and guzzling the pedialyte.  This is only the 2nd time in his little life he's had a fever . . . so it was bound to hit him sometime!
