I took Marlie and Samantha for eye doctor appointments today. No one has really complained about their eye site, but when I was with my Mom picking up contacts they mentioned that the kids should come in around the age I was when I started wearing glasses. I was 8 - but why not knock them both out?
The end result . . . Samantha not only has perfect vision, but has particular parts of her sight that have developed early - so she's good to go! Miss Marlie on the other hand . . . Had the opportunity to pick out a fashionable pair of glasses!
They are pink AND sparkly - and she is happy to wear them. I know that I did not take it in stride that much when I got glasses . . . But she is just cool with it . . . It helps that BFF in school wears them :) It also helps that they actually make glasses for kids . . . Unlike when I was her age . . .
You're welcome for the laugh :) At least this was pre-braces . . . I was the definition of awkward!
