This Week

Well, it was a crazy one for sure!! I spent the week negotiating between a job offer for a new company and my current company coming back with an offer for me to stay. In the end, I have decided to stay with my current company - not only did I get a promotion with a fancy title, they more than doubled my salary and of course, I still work from home. Not too shabby for a SAHM with a philosophy degree :)

We took the kiddos out to celebrate and talk about the fact that through the job process we have decided to move to Chattanooga this summer - now for Jayson to find a job to make that happen! We are ready to settle in the city we want our kids to grow up in - besides being an awesome place to live, they will be surrounded by their grandparents on all sides!
Hudson added to the excitement of the week with his first tooth and first ear infection!!
Even sick he's a pretty happy kiddo!
Jayson and I celebrated our 12th anniversary a little early and went out Friday night with our friends that were in town. We stayed out past our bedtime so Saturday was a lazy day!
Marlie shocked us by being a tough girl and pulling her own tooth! Apparently she remembered getting a bonus from the tooth fairy when she lost her tooth on Christmas, so she thought if she lost it on Valentine's Day, she would double her profits! She did - the tooth fairy left $4 instead of $2 . . . And being the big sister that she is, she kept $2 and gave Evan and Sam each $1 since "they aren't old enough to get money from the tooth fairy yet" :)
She wrote a note to the tooth fairy and left it with her tooth:
This morning we made an early trip out to Target - they are predicting 3-6 inches of snow so we got out before all the crazy people that buy milk and bread. Sam and Evan made some purchases at Target with some Valentines $$ from Grandma and Grandpa in MN.
We are enjoying our 4 day weekend and bracing ourselves for the snow storm that will likely shut the town down for a few days. New England states are functioning with 6ft of snow, but TN will be crippled by 6 inches!! Haha
